Since the opening of the airport in 1977 air travel has increased dramatically.
About 4 million people travel to and from Goteborg-Landvetter airport.
To deal with this increase in passenger numbers, the airport has undergone
both expansion and rebuilding projects. These include increased parking
areas for aircraft as well as private cars and a number of new checking-in
counters. The following pages are designed to give information on completed
projects and projects still under construction. There is also information
giving details of future developments planned for the airport.
The city airport This year, more than one million people are expected
to choose to travel to and from Bromma Airport. With its close proximity
to central Stockholm, Bromma offers fast air travel, both scheduled
and private. The distance from the city to the airport and the waiting
times at the airport are short. Given the airport's attractive location,
environmental standards are extra tough. At Bromma, only aircraft that
meet stringent environmental requirements with regard to emissions and
noise are allowed to land
