Nestled in a curve of the broad Mary River, and named for the wife of Governor Fitzroy, Maryborough was first settled in 1847 as a wool port and is one of Queensland's oldest cities.

The Aero Club is the operator of the Maryborough Municipal Aerodrome and is responsible for the maintenance and all future development,

By agreement with the Shire of Central Goldfields Council.

The Promotion of the Aerodrome as a Focal Point for Aircraft Servicing and Aviation Related Industries in Central Victoria is an important part of the aero club objectives.

Fred Treble is the contact for matters relating to the aero club or the Aerodrome.

Pilots can arrange to have a biannual flight review at the Maryborough Aerodrome to become current and continue to enjoy fun of flying.
