Teuge Airport (Dutch: Vliegveld Teuge) or Teuge International Airport (ICAO: EHTE) is a small general aviation airfield located between Apeldoorn and Twello, located in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. It has two runways, the longest being runway 09/27 with a length of 1,199 m (3,934 ft). The other runway, 03/21, is grass, with a length of 700 m (2,297 ft) and limited availability. Next to general aviation, the airfield is also used extensively for glider flying. Though no scheduled international flights take place from the airport, custom services are available upon request, hence it still having the title of international airport.

Several companies at the airport specialise in aerial photography, and it is the home airfield of aerobatics pilot Frank Versteegh, a former Red Bull Air Race participant.

History and future

Runway 09/27 was entirely resurfaced expanded from 700 m (2,297 ft) to the current length of 1,199 m (3,934 ft) in 2007. There are also plans to add runway and approach lighting.

Apeldoorn

Apeldoorn is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland, about 60 miles south east of Amsterdam, in the centre of the Netherlands. It is a regional centre and has 136,208 inhabitants (January 2008). The municipality of Apeldoorn, including suburbs like Beekbergen, Loenen and Hoenderloo, has over 155,000 inhabitants. The western half of the municipality lies on the Veluwe ridge, the eastern half lies in the IJssel valley. Fred de Graaf of the VVD is the mayor of Apeldoorn.

Twello

Twello is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Voorst, about 5 km southwest of Deventer. Twello was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Voorst
