AboutTeuge Airport (Dutch: Vliegveld Teuge) or Teuge International Airport (ICAO: EHTE) is a small general aviation airfield located between Apeldoorn and Twello, located in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. It has two runways, the longest being runway 09/27 with a length of 1,199 m (3,934 ft). The other runway, 03/21, is grass, with a length of 700 m (2,297 ft) and limited availability. Next to general aviation, the airfield is also used extensively for glider flying. Though no scheduled international flights take place from the airport, custom services are available upon request, hence it still having the title of international airport.
Several companies at the airport specialise in aerial photography, and it is the home airfield of aerobatics pilot Frank Versteegh, a former Red Bull Air Race participant. History and futureRunway 09/27 was entirely resurfaced expanded from 700 m (2,297 ft) to the current length of 1,199 m (3,934 ft) in 2007. There are also plans to add runway and approach lighting.
ApeldoornApeldoorn is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland, about 60 miles south east of Amsterdam, in the centre of the Netherlands.
