Located just 9NM from Dublin City Centre, Weston Aerodrome is the main General Aviation hub for Dublin. It was bought by Jim Mansfield in August 2002 and since then it has undergone massive development which included ramp extension, demolition of hangers and construction of new ones, car park, control tower, coffee dock and reception area. Construction on the new extension of runway 25/07 has just been completed with the opening due shortly. Home to over 50 aircraft, Weston is continuing to grow. It's list of residents now includes a Mitsubishi MU-2, Grumman Goose, 2 Cessna Citations and a Beech 18 (C-45H) in USAF colours. The airport is now managed by Ben Bedi
