Zeltweg (LOXT) is situated
in the Center of Austria, the so called "Heart of Styria", the
Mur valley. Surrounded by 6000-8000ft high mountainranges, this military
airport can only be approached by civil aircrafts if they hold a special,
written permit of Austria's ministery of defence. But Zeltweg is not only
known as Austria's largest dedicated military airport, it's also known for
its biannual airshow and the air-race. The rendition of Zeltweg in Austrian
Airports 2005 Vol.2 is as precise the rendition of an military airfield
can be. You will find all four runways (3 Grass, 1 concrete), aswell as
all known hangars and buildings. And you can come and go there, whenever
you like it and even try the course of the air race...
